The Learning Process

The learning process is a complex process.  There are numerous theories. “Learning theory may be described as a body of principles advocated by psychologists and educators to explain how people acquire skills, knowledge, and attitudes. Various branches of learning theory are used in formal training programs to improve and accelerate the learning process.”(http://www.dynamicflight.com/avcfibook/learning_process/)  Much recent thinking suggests Cognitive theory focuses on the students mind.  Cognitive theory revolves around two processes.  These processes are a social interaction model and information processing model.
When discussing learning, I have concluded that learning is multi-faceted.  There are so many dimensions in learning, and how learners retain information.  There are different learning styles which may be preference by the learner.  For instance I am kinesthetic learner.  I learn best visually, and auditory.  Overall learning should be purposeful and engaging.
